In the UK there was a massive scare about Salmonella in eggs in the 80's, which resulted in many people believing it was unsafe to eat raw eggs. In reality the risk was tiny, and is now non-existent: https://www.bbc.com/news/health-41568998 The situation in the US may be different, though. |
