Have you ever seen Person of interest? First season is mostly detective, but starting second season picks it up and explores ai & surveillance more.

Yes! I was actually recommended here on HN. I did however not make it into the second season. All episodes where pretty much the same so it became boring for me. Maybe I'll give it another chance.
