"It doesn't make sense to invest time into R if one already knows python unless one specifically focusing on academia pure stats type stuff." Ha! I knew it! So it is familiarity with Python then! R does have something else going for it: phenomenal documentation and consistency. Replicating R's thousands of available libraries will be a gargantuan effort. It is cheaper and more efficient to master R. |
