This is clearly wrong. If usability suffers due to tracking implementing this removes a disadvantage of tracking; so it supports tracking. If usability doesn't suffer it still provides a cleaner and simpler way to implement the tracking and also supports tracking. The only legitimate reason to add this is that if some browsers have it and some don't usability will be better on some browsers than on others. This is a prisoner's dilemma. Or was. |
