I'm in the same boat as you, I really really liked NanoBox because I could just not worry about deployment and I could stand up and tear down my whole infrastructure quickly after I was done with testing.

I was also concerned that NanoBox had gone quiet for a while, and I am a little scared of there being a DigitalOcean lock-in.

However... I love DigitalOcean and they seem to be going from strength to strength - looking at their block storage, managed databases and Kubernetes offerings as things I want to get playing with soon.

Excited for what the future holds for this.
