That's how I felt about OhMyZsh and other premade configs. I find the developers tend to make the defaults sensible and not overwhelming. I now use fish and my vim config is <100 lines and only had syntax highlighting and syntastic as dependencies. Honestly, I think everyone should learn to use vanilla software first so they can better understand what these premade configs provide. |
