Well, you can kill someone with a lawnmower if you try enough, sure.

But some technologies are more apt to be used in bad ways than others, and more nightmarish in the uses they enable.

(E.g. nuclear technology, in the form of bombs, can enable total annihilation of the planet. Glass-making technology, not so much -- what, we'll fill the planet with jars?)
