Is hiring really that broken? Not everyone hires like that and if they do, maybe they're no good to begin with. I keep hearing how the interviews at Google are really tough, but then a lot of the people who actually get through quit in the first weeks. It can't be that great of a job. |

Speaking of which, "it can't be that great of a job"...no, of course not, it's a job. But a job is a job (roughly speaking), and a $300k/year job is to many/most people twice as good as a $150k/year job.
