That 1-10 seems impossible to gauge correctly without just basing it on the profiles of a video's previous viewers. And the crux seems to be that YouTube has a single primary interest in generating suggestions: to offer the viewer a video that they probably want to see next. Netflix recs are no different. So, the impolite or gruesome content becomes clickbait for an ad revenue machine. |
