Do those price differences account for purchasing power? I am sure wages and materiels in China cost less than in the US. Since the US will build major military systems domestically its going to be much more expensive. And what is the alternative? Build less effective fighters just to match the cost? Either way I know the major benefits of the F-35 and US fighters in general are data sharing and pilot skill. The F-35s greatest strengths lean into this. |
