The usual pattern is that the generation N - 1 of a tool didn't solve for some dimension D_n of the problem, so generation N is created that handles D_n. The usual defect is that generation N isn't very good at D_n-x where x is greater than the mean experience of the implementing engineer(s), and often isn't even very good at D_n-1. |
