Definitely possible to get by with English in Ukraine, but - many foreigners have left in the past year or so, due to the conflict in the east. There's nothing to physically worry about in the western part of Ukraine (where Lviv is) but the perception has scared some people away. Another suggestion is Tbilisi. Very inexpensive, interesting place with 360-day visa on-arrival for all nationalities. |
