Something quite interesting about pi is that you don't need to start at the beginning to calculate any particular digit, so you can check if the 31.4trillionth digit is correct yourself. The algorithm you'd need to use is the Bailey–Borwein–Plouffe formula - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bailey%E2%80%93Borwein%E2%80%9... (I think there are others too.) |
