That’s certainly a possibility, and it’s quite possible that the current algorithm either has more gravity or is not as favorable to Show HN posts. Either change would explain why this particular post would be treated as if it hadn’t been on the front page at all on the day after posting. If this is the case, it should be clarified that this feature uses the current algorithm, which may not reflect how things ranked on a given day. |
