It does not smell inside. It has a small vent fan that runs 24/7 that prevents odors and helps reduce the moisture content. Even when emptying it there isn't much of a smell. It's kind of earthy. I believe having a urine diverter like most commercial composting toilets have is a must. Urine will make it smell. |
