IMHO, “deep” is just the new “smart”. People are just doing the same thing they were doing but bigger and better, but when you are building a new company you need to use the adjective of the times.

We have had “smart”-everything, it already sounds tired, hence “deep”—everything, let’s see how long it lasts..
