Sure, systemd solves a number of real problems. This is good. What is not as good: (1) systemd takes over or duplicates functionality not related directly to its primary purpose, and (2) is not solid enough to trust it in a number of cases, while (3) the developers' attitude does not give a lot of hope that the situation will materially improve. (Of course, I run a distro without systemd.) |
