I have an iMac and a MacBook pro 2015 ; I wanted a Unix like OS. My youngest sons use the iMac and MacBook for games essentially. I have a much older hp 600 notebook with openbsd. This perfectly fits my needs: emacs, TeX, a browser and some R. No need for Bluetooth either. I guess I paid the premium with the Macs for the build quality and the screens. Never cared about any of their apps and brewed what I needed ( openbsd provides everything I need ( except yet for pandoc)
