The Local Group is gravitationally bound, but that isn't the case with the local supercluster. I believe that most (all?) superclusters are not gravitationally bound. In fact, the entire local group will eventually be a single galaxy I believe, mostly composed of the contents of the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies. |
