I feel like people don’t just downvote you once and move on, I feel that they go into your whole history and just downvote you as much as they can to wound your reputation, then they tell their friends. Sickening.
Or, folks are just tired of all of these "me too" unverifiable anecdotes that honestly add no value to the discussion and just try to appeal to emotion. It seems that the majority of HN comments fit into this category.
