Convenient, easy to access / use debuggers are a boon for logic bugs. Being able to see the flow of the program and snapshots of state reduce the time it takes to identify and fix bugs significantly. Perhaps everyone being a print debugger in Rust is less a compliment to the language, but a criticism of the tooling. I absolutely adore Rust, but understand there are still some vast gaps in the tooling. |
