Good on them for taking the time to think about how to do this properly. I use Fedora, I'm happy to them know that I use Fedora, and even to make the check-in somewhat regular so that they can know if I stop using Fedora. Provided that they figure out a way that absolutely nothing can be done with the information other than to say, "This non-identifiable machine reports that it uses Fedora," I'd be okay with that. |
