London is an endlessly fascinating place to live and explore and has a vibrant tech scene that seems to be quite unaffected (so far) from the cold winds of brexit. Extremely diverse and welcoming of newcomers. Highly recommended.

Maybe we could have a list of some London startups?

* memrise, busuu (language learning)

* deliveroo (food delivery)

* revolut, monzo (banking)

* transferwise, gocardless (payments)

* improbable ('cloud gaming platform')

* roli (music tech)

* lyst (fashion aggregator)

* citymapper, trainline (maps and transport)

Just a small correction: Improbable are making a cloud gaming platform, not a game engine. https://improbable.io/games/blog/how-spatialos-works-with-ga...
fixed, thankyou
I've worked for a number of really shitty London startups over the years. Just a note that YMMV when it comes to good thing.

No I'm not willing to name and shame but most of them are totally dead now :)

What was shitty about them? Anything because of London itself?
Nothing London specific I suspect.

Just that a lot of people in London aren't as friendly as people make them out to be.

Probably not anymore (with BRexit).
Now you comment that under a list of startups, it could've been a great startup name.
