If one has no prior porgramming experience, I would expect a minimum of 1500 - 2000 hours of work needed to learn the basics of the trade and find their first decent job. A small number will be able to do this on their own. The majority will benefit significantly from some structured teaching and mentorship. I think there are many good jobs available in web development. But it will depend significantly on your location. |
