Um... what? The Falcon 1 and 9 were built from scratch, at least as much as anything is. They developed their own rocket engines and most of the components as usual aerospace components were too expensive to hit the price they were targeting. Boom is certainly an extremely risky startup (as was SpaceX)... but isn't that what venture capital is for? |
