I always laugh when I see advice in posts like these as it assumes an altruistic working environment. In most of the companies I've worked at in the SF Bay Area, how a manager behaves in an organization is based on how his manager behaves. It is all top-down all the way from the CEO. If your CEO is an asshole, your 4th-level manager down the line will most likely be one too. |
