I have tried using Signal, but found it to be a “works whenever it feels like” app and platform. It’s very poor compared to Telegram on features and stability. Recently I switched to a new phone and Signal wouldn’t send me the activation code over SMS or voice call. Tried for a few days and gave up on using it. Support couldn’t help either. So whatever the $50 million is doing, it hasn’t changed the usability of it much (which has been behind Telegram’s for a long time). And what’s with not allowing chats to be backed up and restored in a new device (iOS)? That’s very limiting. |
