Yeah, here's an example of one in Alberta, Canada:
https://www.dlsc.ca/borehole.htm Some of the things I found crazy when reading about it is that they can get the ground temperature up to 80 degrees celsius by the end of the summer, and then the ground stores enough heat (without just dissipating off to the environment) that it can provide a majority of the heating for 52 houses over the course of a cold Alberta winter. |
