Being able to say I’ve overcome my nearly 15 years of depression. I did some pretty neat things in and out of work too, but none of them can really compare to finally feeling happy and healthy again. I learned that if I’m not happy, then nothing else in life will really matter to me, and that my own happiness and health are the most important things that I can have. I always knew this on some abstract intellectual level, but it wasn’t until after I had actually gotten better that I truly, deeply understood it. Take care of yourselves out there. You’re the most important thing you’ve got. |
