I’ve been beating this drum for a while. It doesn’t make any logical sense why knowledge/tech workers have to live close to these expensive cities or find affordability by becoming a super commuter from an hour or more away. Sure younger people want to live in those cities but I would think it’d be a good retention policy to allow people to transition to a remote work option. Being able to live in a LCOL area means your tech salary actually counts for something. Not just paying rent on a overpriced apartment. |
