Think different.

Write an ordinary web app or a desktop app if at all possible. There is some possibility it will still work in 10 years, it's almost impossible that a SPA will. The problem is that the web platform has been weaponized by Google and Facebook (which are not interested in helping you accomplish your goals, they just want to sell ads at get rich)

Apple and Microsoft may have different motivations but they are left with pouring sand in the gears by not implementing "standards" and file formats that they don't want to implement to protect their real and perceived business interests.
