I worked on an online poker platform software as a developer and team leader, where client was professional poker player with zero vision about the product. It was a mess. Team was also terrible and irresponsible. 2 years and 150 KLOC later, we had a product without any vision. It was good money and just what I needed right then. I used that money and time to travel and live digital nomad lifestyle, which directly impacted and transformed my professional career in a great way. So, that part, I don't regret. But I regret wasting 2 years of my professional development time down the drain on a product without vision. I learned a lot about handling people and about the lifecycle of a bad product tho. |
