I have a feeling you don’t understand what angle of attack is, or how quickly you die when the sensors + autopilot conspire against you on this metric.
Sensors fail all the time, everything can be turned off.
There's a half dozen ways to determine AoA and apparently the previous flight did exactly that, turn off the faulty sensor.
