Hi blparker,

I'll be graduating this May 2019 from the University of Minnesota, Twin-Cities with dual BS degrees in Computer Science and Statistical Science. For the past 6 months I've been interning at a commerce analytics company where I built a RESTful web service in Python 3.7, and prior to that I worked at the Minnesota Supercomputing Institute where I gained experience with various big data frameworks.

The software engineering position sounds like it'd be a great fit for me given my statistics background. I also have experience applying/designing machine learning models and completed the graduate level ML classes at the U of M.

Asking candidly, would it be worth it for me to apply? Or is this position not open to new graduates? I am very interested and I'd love to discuss this opening with you more by phone or email, if possible.

Best,

~Mark
