Every piece of software can be exploited given enough effort and time. Things are only secure until they are broken. In the year of spectre and meltdown exploits, you balk at the idea that electronics are insecure?

Paper ballots are objectively more secure. If an electronic voting method becomes widespread, one vulnerability can compromise the entire election.

Compare that to paper ballots. How many humans do you need to compromise all paper ballot counts?
