I regularly install the current ubuntu LTS on about 5 desktops, all with nvidia. Generally it just works you either have to click on (settings -> drivers -> nvidia) or just do an apt-get install nvidia-<current version>. When there's a kernel upgrade it "just works", presumably with DKMS or similar. What pain are you seeing with nvidia? |
