To the FAANG employee with a PHD who's been "hanging out" making widgets a 1st year programmer could build, the appeal I think is to invite people who want to show off the fire in their belly to do something. And then they make 1st year programmer widgets, but with LOTS of passion and arguments and being told they can be fired at any moment. |
