Have you tried Steam Play? It has worked quite well for me on Linux, and I know Proton works on macOS (not sure if you still have to build from source), but it could be enough to get you away from dual booting. I dual boot Windows and Linux, but since I default to Linux, I find myself choosing to do stuff on Linux instead of rebooting (even though rebooting takes ~10s). Only rarely do I get a hankering for a Windows-only game. I wonder if Valve's initiative will get enough games to work that people increasingly switch to Linux/macOS for gaming. |
