They didn't scrap it because of this gender problem. That wasn't why it failed. They scrapped it because it didn't work anyway. Note the title is "Amazon scraps secret AI recruiting tool that showed bias against women" not "Amazon scraps secret AI recruiting tool because it showed bias against women". But I guess the real title is less clickbaity - "Amazon scraps secret AI recruiting tool because it didn't work". |
