The Concorde is a bit inapt of a comparison; it had only one class of seating, and was targeted towards business-class travelers. A comparable seat on a modern, slower jumbo would also be in the $2-5k neighborhood, versus sub-$1k for economy fares. EDIT: So, yes: you can do it for under a grand, but you're not getting the glass of champagne. |
