Put yourself in the founder shoes and think. He/She already has some way of doing things, which is working till now, and you are trying to break it. There will be some resistance to this inertia.

When you talked about the standard, people tend to make themselves as exception saying that "our case is different". Check if this is the case.

It seems that you are starting big. Trying to push the changes, which people are not used to. Start with small changes, something like statistical analysis tools or some small automated test case tool. Something which will be simple and not much time consuming for developers. Once they see its value, may be then they can "trust" you with big changes.

Then there is psychological approach for making changes. You can present your ideas in such a way that the person buying (in your case founder), feels that he/she has a choice or a major role in decision making. But then you present choices, such that the one you prefer comes out as obviously best. Check if this approach can work in your case.

Finally, it's your life and your job. Mental stability is more important that the company you are working in. Don't hesitate to fly away on first opportunity.
