That's just a bad analogy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Gaza Gaza was part of Turkey (Ottoman) and was a part of Britain and was a part of Egypt and was a part of Israel and it is an independent region since 2005. It's more like Belgium in your France Germany analogy. France has no control over the Belgium-German border. |
