That's a lot more paperwork, especially if you want an actual employee, not a "soulless contractor" that is not attached to your company.

I am a remote employee in a startup, and it requires way more paperwork (options, vacation, legal) to do things right. For a small company, that's just too much when you can hire someone in your country.
