What's the alternative? Self-hosting? Don't get me started on this. IMO hosting platforms are the only sane choice for blogs in 2018 and the foreseeable future. Also cost is a factor. Hosted solutions are essentially free (in particular GitHub Pages). A dedicated EC2 machine costs 5$/month upwards. |
