Access to venture capital and/or the effort to get it in the first place. To European businesses it often seems like it is much easier to raise funds in the US. Investors also tend to be more conservative here. B2C businesses traditionally need more funding to scale. Less funding, fewer B2C businesses. Bootstrapping a B2C business is even harder. B2B just makes more sense economically. |
