An advanced civilization, when looking to signal other potential civilizations, would hopefully - - use the lowest common denominator long range communication medium (like EM waves), not the most advanced technology available to them, and - would broadcast it widely in spatial, temporal and spectral dimensions and not worry about efficiency |
