VR isn't decent yet and won't be until it's comfortable enough to slap a VR headset on and watch a movie. That's comfortable both in terms of literal headset weight but also latency, resolution, sound, etc. When I sit down in front of a 48" TV I'm absorbed into a different world and forget where I am. When VR is good enough you can spend hours inside the virtual world, that's when it can be called good enough. It's not there yet, but sure we might be there in a generation or two. |
