This article is irresponsibly written, because the two-year term is buried in its middle. The headline reads "will pay consultant $176,800," which will be parsed as "per year" by, what, 99.9% of readers? The first sentence is no better: "pay $176,800 to a computer software consultant." As others have mentioned, this is almost certainly a bargain--I can't imagine any new system being quoted without a price of 'millions.' |
