Everything in Spotify is extremely region specific. I’ve flown from the US to Asia and lost the ability to play some songs.

Surely the labels are to blame for that and Spotify is just the messenger.

I don’t know what you mean “blame...” Spotify licenses certain music in certain countries and not in others. That’s not some kind of crime against the user, so I blame no one.
