If I were you I'd contact a lot of the smaller startups you hear about on here and see if they need someone to take care of their Google Analytics, especially integrating Facebook Insights data, conversion analysis/funnel, short link campaigns (inbound from Twitter) etc. Propose A/B testing scenarios and work with their engineers to make it happen. Produce real-world reports and suggest next steps. Be sure to "own" the data and branding by producing your own Excel spreadsheets that contain an amalgamation of all the different data sources, and understand their business enough to personalize it to their industry, i.e., ecommerce revenue vs. freemium signups lost to competitors. Most importantly: be sure to budget your time properly so you can bill accurately. |
